He’s been waiting around for the weekend
Figuring which club to sneak in
Fancy drinks and fifty-dollar cover charge
Lately it’s been a big hassle
Heineken and New Castle
To make sure he’s fitting in and living large
Disregard the lies that he will tell
and what he’s probably like 'cause
It's not hard his charm is gonna
Get him through the night

If he wanna rock he rocks
If he wanna roll he rolls
He can roll with the punches
Long as he feels like he’s in control
If he wanna stay he stays
If he wanna go he goes
He doesn’t care how he gets there
Long as he gets somewhere he knows oh no
ah na na na na na na na na na na na
ah na na na na na na na na na na na

See her heavy make up and cut t-shirt
Every girl out wants to be her
But they look the same already why adjust
Reading the magazine secrets
Forget the topical regrets
'Cause If she comes home all alone the nights a bust
It’s a must the swivel in her hips
And the look she gives
It’s all her trust if only in the morning
She knew where she lived

'Cause If she wanna rock she rocks
If she wanna roll she rolls
She can roll with the punches
Long as she feels like she’s in control
If she wanna stay she stays
If she wanna go she goes
She doesn’t care how she gets there
Long as she gets somewhere she knows oh no
ah na na na na na na na na na na na
ah na na na na na na na na na na na

And in a wink they’re on the brink
From drink to drink and at the bar
With cash to blow
From shot to shot it’s getting hot
Advance the plot to see how far
It’s gonna go
All depends so ditch the friends
And grab a cab
Another chance for cheap romance
Doesn’t count cause the room is spinning
Nothing to lose tonight they both are winning
And they fall in love as they fall in bed
They sing

If they wanna rock they rock
If they wanna roll they roll
They can roll with the punches
Long as they feel like they're in control
If they wanna stay they stay
If they wanna go they go
They don’t care how they get there
Long as they get somewhere they know oh no
ah na na na na na na na na na na na...

When the World Comes Down is pretty catchy, by and large more melodic and catchy than their last release a few years ago.

I’m not one to review cds here but I’m telling you, its worth picking up.

My favorite song is “Another Heart Calls” here:

Do you remember when we didn’t care
We were just two kids that took the moment when it was there
Do you remember you at all
Another heart calls

Yeah I remember when we stole the night
We’d lie awake but dreaming till the sun would wash the sky

Just as soon as I see you
I did lie but didn’t I tell you
As deep as I need you,
You wanna leave it all

What can I do?
Say it’s true
Oh everything that matters breaks in two
Say it’s true
I’ll never ask for anyone but you

Talk to me
I’m throwing myself in front of you
This could be the last mistake
That I would ever wanna do
Yeah all I ever do is give it’s time you see my point of view

Just as soon as I see you
I did lie but didn’t I tell you
As deep as I need you,
You wanna leave it all

What can I do?
Say it’s true
Oh everything that matters breaks in two
Say it’s true
I’ll never ask for anyone but you
But I know all that you want is to figure it out
And god knows I do too
What can I do?
Say it’s true
I’ll never ask for anyone but you

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Na, na, na, na, na, na

I’m sorry
So what?
But you don’t think I’ve said enough
I’m sorry
I don’t care
You were never there

As soon as I see you
I did lie but didn’t I tell you?
As deep as I need you
You wanna leave it all

What can I do?
Say it’s true
Oh everything that matters breaks in two
Say it’s true
I’ll never ask for anyone but you
But I know all that you want is to figure it out
And God knows I do too
What can I do?
Say it’s true
I’ll never ask for anyone but you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

I’ll never ask for anyone but you
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
[to fade]

by Mute Math

the crowds roll by
and im falling in
everyone’s invicible
but its just pretend

and we all freaked out
what a shame
when only tears
know how
to remind us we all break the same

we all break the same
and we all break the same

and everything we’ve built
could be our demise
it’s the sticks and stones
that wear us down
that often save our lives

the different stars tonight
will somehow fade the same
and all the tears we cry
tell us we’re made the same
and when we fall aside
let’s hope we fall in place
we built our different lives
but they all break the same

oh different worlds
and different hearts
and different souls
and different parts

and we all
we all break the same

Thing is, compilation cds are disqualified. So here are the 3:

Anberlin - Cities

Mae – The Everglow

Motion City Soundtrack - Even if it kills me

I can listen to these albums any time, any day, often one after the other. I can’t explain it better than they just hit the spot.

Last Friday, me, Nat and Major went to the Jack’s Mannequin, Paramore concert at Festival Pier in Penn’s Landing.

Here’s how it went down:

Paper Route was great; I think I’ve now become a fan.

Phantom Planet was fine musically, but great when it came to interacting with the crowd.
They brought on Paper Route for a song and it was insane.

After a long way and the arrival of a baby grand piano, Jack’s Mannequin started their set and the crowd went nuts.

They played a new song of their soon-to-be-released album, the Resolution…beautiful song.

After what seemed like forever waiting for them to set up the stage, Paramore played as fireworks burst behind us over the Ben Franklin Bridge.

They played all of the favorites: Brighter, CrushCrushCrush, Broken, Misery Business, etc It was something else, one moment we were jumping up and down rocking to the song, the next they were putting us to sleep with a slow jam.

It was a pretty sweet night, despite parking miles and miles from the venue, the expensive beer, the high school kids, and cheese wiz cheeseburgers.
