Things I’ve began to hate:

• the rain/lack of kickball
• Humidity
• lack of free time to get things done

Marc goes into how it is so hard for him to write a poem about his wife, Angel despite the many things that he could write, say, etc. Nothing seemed it fit, no two words would rhyme. I can relate to this and if you’re a writer than perhaps you can to.

It seems that the things closest to us, but not us,  are the hardest to write about.

Chrismas Connelly

I’m getting into it this holiday season. For whatever reason I’m really buying into Christmas, the Holidays and the Joys of it all this season.  Two days after Thanksgiving I decked the halls of my home with my Christmas tree, random decorations, lights and holiday goodness.

I even made a small Chrismas village which I’ll throw up on here at some point. I’ve been burning pine candles to offset the fact that my tree…does not smell real. haha

Christmas is going to rock this year, not because I foresee any grand gifts coming my way or because I plan on giving or doing anything extraordinary, but because for the first time in a long time…I’m truly happy with my life.

Last year was a different story, a lot of transition and issues around me.  The joy of Christmas didn’t suffice.

This year…I have a lot of good things in my life, a lot of good people in my life. God has been great and I simply can not count the many things I am thankful for this year.

So from my home to yours, Merry Christmas!

i’ve accepted and rejected

i’ve been ambitious, opportunistic while at the same time lazy and idle

i have pushed and been pushed against, pressed and pressed against

i have fallen because of my own pride; humbled in light of my best achievements

i have used others selfishly, betrayed friends, loved ones, family
while all along others have been using and betraying me

i have jumped, leaped, pounced, dove
sometimes all for good, sometimes all for me, sometimes i just don’t know

Here’s the deal…
everything evens out; there is hope for the hopeless, acceptance for the rejected, strength for the weak, love for the unloved, salvation for the lost, forgiveness for the unforgivable.
