I have to take the time and process the 640 pictures I took while down in Florida..and after discarding, editing, sorting and meticulously grinding through all of them…I’ll put some up for all to see and my Flickr account to get hits.
Someday….

Oh and I still have last year’s Phillies pics to put up…those also coming someday…maybe Saturday when I actually will have some time.

Back from Florida

Florida was great.

I spent 9 days getting some sun, going to the Everglades, swimming in the pool, seeing the Gulf Coast, playing tennis, relaxing, playing cards, watching March Madness, taking pictures, watching a spring training game, driving a golf cart…and more. It was a nice getaway.

What I didn’t do was: check my email, go to work, check facebook, touch a computer, cook, do laundry, etc

When I got back I had:

436 Personal emails (granted much of it was spam)
433 Work emails
35 Facebook notifications (not including apps)
3 Facebook emails
A few emails in my gmail account

Aside from the fun…its good to be home.

Going south for the week

Ok, so I’m blogging now, I don’t know when I’ll get another chance so lets say then now.

I am a native New Yorker and a New Englander at heart. I love the cold, brisk weather. Its in my veins to be colder than I am warmer. When I vacation I go to Massachusetts to visit my family, or New York when my grandmother used to live there. I live for the cold.
That’s why I’ve never been further south or west…than West Virginia. Crazy, I know. But when you love the cold weather and the intrinsically beautiful northeast…why go anywhere else?

Well…tomorrow I’ll answer the question…why not? We’re taking our mandatory week off to spend a week down in Florida. Fort Myers to be exact, to do anything and everything non-work related. We’ll hit the Everglades, the beach, a spring training ball game…and who knows what. It doesn’t matter, we’ll be away from it all on a MUCH-needed vacation.

From the 21st through midday on the 30th you won’t find me anywhere near the internet, a computer, office building or whiteboard. The closest thing to that will be my ideabook, smartphone and camera. That’s it.
No blogs, email, facebook…call me if you need me…otherwise I’m out.

I will be twittering periodically I’m sure, giving you guys an update on my tan…beach weather and who knows what…it’ll be great…

The perfect getaway is going somewhere you’ve never been, taking you away from everything you ever knew.
