This happy young man, aslo known as my father and my roommate since around September, was extended at his job in Jersey until the end of February.  Everyone is hoping that during this time his is able to acquire permanent employment either in this current position or elsewhere.

It’ll be 6 months in my place by the end of this term.

Last Thursday I took Dad out for a steak and an beer. Yes…that is a plate of mushrooms on the right…and he ate them all. haha
Apparently he has found an affection for Blue Moon…so glad I got him hooked on that.

I’ve been so busy lately with various things in life I suppose…

• Working more heavily with Our Brother’s Keeper Foundation, creating a site for them using Silverstripe
• Made a few trips to Eastern bringing Jen almost home, taking her back
• Considering a new design, color scheme for my current site, or perhaps just scrapping it entirely
• Very busy with various Holiday projects for work…go to DelawareOnline in Decemeber and you’ll see them
• Apparently I have harems
• Taking Dad out to dinner this week for Steak and Beer…that should be a good time with him, apparently I only have about 5 more weeks until his contract in Jersey ends
• I should probably shoot a update video soon, or just a video in general…I’ve come to the conclusion I don’t have enough video on this site

• I wish more of my friends blogged; that may be nice

• Today is Major’s last day…Major is my manager and now its just me and Verna doing the web work for the time being…which only means I’ll be busier than ever.
• We won our 2nd playoff game the other night in kickball!
• Next game is Saturday at 10am, and if we win that one we’ll play at 11am for the championship!
• Major’s goodbye is a Buckley’s, followed by Summer’s goodbye luau
• New Flickr photos up soon, hopefully from kickball and random life
• Kickball BBQ at Pat’s later on Saturday
• Oktoberfest Sunday if I can make it over there
• Hanging out with Nat sometime after the luau
• Still awaiting word from Jnr Posse regarding their site
• Doing some work for Roger Girke over the weekend

• So far so good with Dad living with me; its actually pretty peaceful around my place minus his unquenchable thirst for watching westerns
• Awaiting further word from Rhina regarding young professionals blog, which is ok since I’m going to be very very busy very very soon

He’s been unsuccessful in the employment area for the past year plus since his company folded and so he took a flier on a job in Jersey, just over an hour from my house and 2 hours from his.

It’s been interesting so far, the past week. I’ve been living alone for so long that I’ve become very self-centric when it comes to living. I’m not used to having someone else around a lot, let alone providing for them.

Buying groceries for two is a lot different than just buying ones for yourself. Even better, my father and I have very different tastes. I live for spicy, he couldn’t handle my mild versions. I love veggie and health-conscious foods, he’s old-school and won’t touch them. It’s amusing, but makes me taking care of him and helping out more than I expected.

It’s interesting and I look forward to this time as a way for him and I to reconnect. We lost so much in the past, I’m hoping the next 3 months will allow us to get back some of what we lost. A lot of what he lost for and about me. Its my chance to show him changes in me since everything. My chance to show him that his son is no longer that past version, and instead closer to the one he knew as I grew up.
