Sofa Kings were slightly short handed on the men’s side as Brooks Hall decided that education was way more important than his kickball teammates, Eric Bland was trying out for pep squad and Bill Czachorowski was stumbling up and down Route 1 somewhere between Jimmy’s and Hammerheads. Have no fear Sofa King fans, Bob Spring and ‘A-Rod’ Adam Hardt really stepped up their games in their absence. Adam did it offensively with a two run homerun while Bob covered the ENTIRE outfield. Heck, on some plays, he even covered the infield. I think it’s the red cleats. On the ladies side, Jessica K-a lot of letters-ski displayed her matrix-like moves as she dodged a bullet up the middle while she was on the mound and Nicole Burris did all kinds of scoring. For Super Heroes In Training, they are officially changing their name to Team Wendell. In his first at bat, he collected 2 RBI’s as he drilled a long shot to the wind tunnel in right field. In the next inning, Mike Clendaniel added a two run shot of his own. Carmen Eoppolo deserves some props for his running shoe string catch on a dying quail down the left field line. In a supporting role, Replacement Steve had a good night too
