Survivor thoughts

It was funeral that lasted 2 days. One by one we saw crowds gather around the desks of our fallen comrades.  One by one people were sent to HR to lay their heads before on the guillotine…it was surreal.

Some closer than others, 28 total left our office over the course of Tuesday and Wednesday.

Everyone dreaded the tap on the shoulder or call or see HR; the air was thick with depression so much so that many left during lunch to breakaway from the stigma surrounding the idea of just being near the office turned mortuary.

Second guessing, sorrow and survivor guilt rued the days.
