Off to NY for the weekend

Off to NY for the weekend, saying hello from chris on Vimeo.

Somedays all I do is watch the sky…

These photos were taken on the way home from work the other day…while I was still driving…yeah, I tend to take pictures while I drive, a lot.

3 Amusing Stories

I’m starting a new category called Memories, where I throw up random stories and memories for pure amusement. Mostly funny stories, rarely anything serious.
So here are a few amusing stories:
- When I went to a bar in Elkton (BIG mistake)…me and a buddy were beat in a game of pool by a toothless woman, who [...]

9 decent work out ideas to get you up and over the hump

1- Figure out where you’ll be most comfortable working out. If you do music videos in the morning, set up your “weight room” by the tv. If you have an MP3 player, make a playlist of the most energetic music you can listen to. Personally, I bought a 1GB Sansa Clip for solely that reason.
2- [...]

Quick updates on life – 9/19/08

I haven’t had the time, nor the energy to blog much so here are some quick updates on life in general:

Today is Major’s last day…Major is my manager and now its just me and Verna doing the web work for the time being…which only means I’ll be busier than ever.
We won our 2nd playoff game [...]

Playoffs tonight!

That’s What She Said plays 40 Acre Shakers tonight in the DSL Kickball playoffs.
I’ll be honest, we’ll probably get slapped silly tonight, but we did win on Saturday so there’s hope!
Game time is 5:30 at Rockford park, right after us is our old…Washington St. Ale House against some better team. haha
Hopefully they are short players [...]

We all break the same – Lyrics by Mute Math

by Mute Math
the crowds roll by
and im falling in
everyone’s invicible
but its just pretend
and we all freaked out
what a shame
when only tears
know how
to remind us we all break the same
we all break the same
and we all break the same

and everything we’ve built
could be our demise
it’s the sticks and stones
that wear us down
that often save our lives
the [...]

Off to Lake Champion…eventually

I got an email from an old friend today inviting me, on relatively short notice, to attend the Men’s Retreat at the Young Life camp in Lake Champion New York. Its coming up at the end of the month.
Its been years since I’ve gone and admittedly months since I’ve attended a church service, but this [...]

the knife

This piece was written for a friend awhile ago who was going through some friend issues. Its uniquely worth publishing though…
Life filled with strife,
as words tingle,
so does the knife.
The further it goes,
lead by the words that flow,
from the ones you know,
loved ones you know.
You’ll be let down, thrown down, beat down and betrayed,
evitable it becomes- [...]

3 cds…for all of eternity

Someone asked me today, if I could only have 3 cds to listen to, for all of eternity, which 3 would I choose?
Thing is, compilation cds are disqualified. So here are the 3:

Anberlin – Cities
Mae – The Everglow
Motion City Soundtrack – Even if it kills me

I can listen to these albums any time, any day, [...]

I hope I’m wrong…

It’s rare that I desire to be wrong about something…but I’m not romanticizing this one…I honestly hope I’m wrong.

What I’d ask me, if I met me at 28 now

5 years from now, I wonder what I’ll be like, where I’ll be, what I’ll be doing. I hope I’m married, more successful and doing a lot good in the world but never too busy for friends or family. Granted, there are certain things I wouldn’t want to know like who I married, what kind of house I’m in or…
